This project is grounded in deconstructivist spatial thinking, using the dislocation, interpenetration, and tension between volumes and planar elements to define spatial boundaries and guide both movement and visual perception. Rather than relying on walls as fixed enclosures, space is articulated through the relationships between architectural components, establishing a layered and directional spatial order.
Light functions as a key design medium throughout the project. Beyond shaping atmosphere, it is deliberately introduced at a detailed scale to articulate edges, transitions, and terminations, while also reinforcing the hierarchy of spatial focal points. Through the intervention of light, the relationship between material and structure is further intensified, allowing the space to reveal a restrained yet nuanced expression across different moments in time.
The overall design returns to the essence of space, rejecting purely decorative gestures in favor of a dialogue between composition, proportion, and light. The color palette is anchored in shades of gray and white, complemented by accents of orange and deep brown that act as visual anchors. This balance between subtlety and tension allows the space to maintain emotional depth and energy within a composed and controlled framework.
